Solar By Weller Helping Customers Get Energy Rebates and Save Thousands with Solar Panel Installation

Boyertown, PA – (24-Aug-10) Solar By Weller – solar panel installer in Southeastern, PA – continues to help customers capitalize on the available rebates through the Pennsylvania Sunshine Solar Program, providing $100 million in rebates to help fund solar electric (solar photovoltaic) and solar hot water (solar thermal) projects for homeowners and small businesses in Pennsylvania.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection which oversees the program, rebates are being awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to approved applicants while funds remain. Households may receive one solar photovoltaic (PV) rebate for up to 10 kilowatts (kW) of installed PV generating capacity plus one solar thermal rebate not to exceed $2,000. A small business may submit one PV and one solar thermal application at a time and must complete the project and rebate process prior to submitting another application.

Solar By Weller recently completed a solar install for a customer consisting of a 24-panel, 5.04 kilowatt-hour (kWh) ground-mount solar photovoltaic system. This system is estimated to produce 6168 kWh of electricity annually and provide the customer with approximately 50% of their electrical needs. In addition, Solar By Weller installed a solar attic fan to reduce heat buildup in the attic, thereby reducing air-conditioning requirements inside of the home.
A customer for whom Solar By Weller installed a solar pool heating system in 2009, contacted the company to have a solar photovoltaic system installed this year. This customer cited that they wanted to take advantage of the available rebates and significantly reduce their electrical expenses. Solar By Weller installed an 8.64 kWh roof-mounted solar photovoltaic system consisting of 36 solar panels which will provide an estimated 100% of the customer’s electrical needs, producing approximately 10,345 kWh of electricity annually.
Customers of Solar By Weller can get back even more cash by referring others to the company. One recent customer was excited to receive their monetary ‘thank you’ check after referring a customer that installed a 5.88 kWh roof-mounted solar photovoltaic system consisting of 28 solar panels which will produce an estimated 7300 kWh of electricity annually. This output will provide the homeowner with approximately 90% of their electrical needs.
